Meet the Owner
Board Director Iman Youssef Iman is a dedicated, hardworking, Arab-Canadian woman, community activist, entrepreneur, and business mentor. She is the owner and manager of amour FRAGRANCES & BEAUTY BOUTIQUE and Best Canadian Liquidation. Backed by more than two decades of experience, she is trained to find the right scent for the right person, age, and skin colour.
She is also a member of the Canada Arab Chamber of Commerce and received the 2013 Business Excellence Award from them. The Diplomatic Academy of London also gave her a distinction in International Liaison and Communication in 2010. She is also a proud member of directors for Daughters for Life Foundation.
As an Arab-Canadian woman, she has faced much adversity and strife while on her path to becoming a successful business owner and entrepreneur. By overcoming the most difficult of barriers that an immigrant women must tackle in Canada, Iman has proven to be a strong contender in the retail industry.
Iman was born and raised in the midst of a civil war in her native land of Lebanon. Despite the hardship and warfare that surrounded her, she never lost her determination for education and success. Her persistence and strong will led her to complete both an Accounting Diploma and Master’s Degree in International Liaison & Communication from the University of Westminster in England.
Iman began her career by selling fragrances and beauty supplies to friends and family. By 2003, she opened Best Canadian Liquidation and once again seized the opportunity for expansion in 2012 by opening Amour Fragrances in Windsor. Today, Iman Youssef is expanding even further by opening a second Amour Fragrances location in Tecumseh Mall in Windsor.
Iman is currently pursuing her Ph. D. program in Business administration at one of the state of Michigan Universities, with a research focused on Entrepreneurship among female immigrants; in collaboration with Windsor Women working with immigrant women WWWIW.
Also, taking a lead role as a trainer with Global Training Services of Michigan as a vice president to train and prepare young female entrepreneurs to enter the business world.
Throughout her business pursuits and journey to success, Iman has never forgotten her humble beginnings and always put her family first. She is always connecting with her six siblings across the globe and she is a proud mother of two wonderful sons. She is fluent in English, Arabic, and Sign Language.
